Pre-Charge
IMRAN IS FREQUENTLY RETAINED BY CLIENTS AND COMPANIES FACING CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION AT THE PRE-CHARGE STAGE.

His strategic and tactical direction has proved invaluable time and again in securing the avoidance of any criminal charges being faced thereby saving significant distress and cost.

Imran will draft comprehensive, detailed and powerful representations against charges being brought against an individual or corporation.

On occasion, Imran has also drafted post-charge representations in order to bring proceedings to an end or to successfully reduce the seriousness of the offence faced.

SN was arrested and charged with harassment of his ex-partner around four years ago. He was initially represented by a different legal team prior to Mr Shafi KC being instructed. In due course he was arrested and charged with further serious offences (second indictment). Mr Shafi KC drafted extensive post-charge representations addressing the evidence, SN’s ill-health and the deficiencies in disclosure. Having persisted in inviting the prosecution to review the case, the prosecution eventually relented and offered no evidence on all counts. SN, a very successful businessman, retains his good character and can now get on with his life.
